Johnny G has respectfully requested that his homecoming party also be his birthday party so he can have three this year, (Iniakuk, Girdwood and SF w/Ang). Also, since there is no such thing as Saturday, September 7, 2007 and John flies home Saturday at 3p, it's actually on Friday, Sept. 7th, whoops. Bring your sleeping bag!

Guess whose back, back again...

Clear your calendars! Extremely John is honoring us with a visit on his way back home from the Brooks. I know you all will just be tripping over yourselves to get a piece of him so a major rager is in the works for Saturday Friday, Sept. 7th. My house is completely available, but if the majority wants it in Girdwood, offer up your house! Just know the Gaedekes will need to crash in it that night!

Fishing?

After the wedding we all headed up to Montana to float the Smith River. I did quite a bit of fishing, while everyone else worked hard on spooking all the fish away.

After kayaking we headed down to Wyoming with the Girdwood gang to witness Kate and Dan gettin' hitched. They made it look good. Horses, Cowboy poets, guns, and drinking...

Way Back in June

Well it has been a while since I posted, so I figured I'd drop of a few pictures on everybody. Our summer started off with a two week paddle with my folks. It rained for the first 8 days and the temperature dropped down to 37 degrees... it was cold and great. The following week turned bright and beautiful.

Blueberry Daze

There was something special in the blueberries this summer at Iniakuk and Tiffany kept the pies coming or Max got a little crazy...

Big Baby Award

After seeing the beautiful picture of baby Adeline I thought we better update you on Miss Clarity Blue Partridge. She appears to have taken up a permanent residence in my belly. She is now one week overdue with no signs of coming out. I imagine we will see her by the time she wants to drive but I do hope she will come on out sometime before that.

I worry about her size! She just keeps growing which makes me cringe.

Traditional Dance

Extremely John just sent this one down to us. Tiffany and I were preforming a tradition Brooks Range dance to bring in warm weather...as you know we danced a bit too well.

Willie and friends in San Francisco

Now I can die happy since I have seen Willie Nelson in concert and he rocked. Looking good at 72, he played for 2 hours straight and then left the stage and never came back. We finished up my trip with a visit to the Japanese Tea Gardens and I can't wait to go back.

It's Not too Far Away

Despite some great spring ski conditions, Tiffany is heading over to Whittier next week to open up the kayak shop. Kittywakes here we come!

From Freezing to Flooding

Well, h0w do you describe such a trip? The temps went from 40 below to 40 above. We went from flying across the top of the ice to crashing through it. We went from having a great time, to having an epic adventure...which was also a great time. We can't wait for next year

Heading North

Extremely John called the other day and said that he needed some advice up at Iniakuk. Sometimes it can be difficult having friends but someday I'm sure he'll return the favor... and I do have a plethora of advice.

Life is Good

Max took to being pulled along like royalty much quicker than I thought. Under his direction, we managed to never actually make it to where we had planned, but instead enjoyed an awesome sunny day snowshoeing along Glacier Creek. With Moses's snowballs tinkling like wind chimes, we spent about 3 hours looking for Mark's mythical place and finally called it a day underneath the hand tram where we scaled up the ravine like seasoned mountain climbers.

Happy St. Patty's!

There is something about celebrating another countries holiday that brings out the best in everyone. St. Patty's Day = Irish car bombs, corned beef and cabbage and of course, good music and dancing. Cinco De Mayo = tequila, need I say more? What American holiday can boast such fun? I can't think of a single one. True to the nature of this lively crowd, I did hear of a certain air guitar contest coming up in April so start practicing!

Finishing Touches

With Telepalooza 2007 in full swing, Max puts the finishing touches on Vicky's "Cat Tracks" costume. Unfortunately our table was cursed and no one won a damn thing. Mark did however keep us entertained when he thought he heard his name called, went up to claim the prize, but it turned out they had called for Jessica Simpson instead.
