This is a 1954 De Haviland Otter. It was our mighty steed for hopping from lake to lake. I especially enjoyed the safety paddle (size of a junior canoe paddle) strapped to the Otter's float, in case the engine died. It would take weeks to paddle this behemoth to shore.
