Gangstas Spreading Their Wings

The Brenner St. Husslers are on a mission to spread their philosophy across the country. Half are in Maine, while the other half are in Vermont. Though it is good for the world to have them spread out and spreading the good word, we wish that they were back here where they belong. Good luck, and good work.
In the words of Sergio Semunavik, "spread your wings and fly boldly in the direction of your dreams." He has always been a bit melodramatic, but heartfelt.

'Ello my luvlies

Hi Kids, just a shout out from the CA crew. Hope all is well- I did notice the "r" word floating around the Girdwood weather reports, that's not good. I'm adding a bit of writing here from a friend in Fairbanks in an effort to culture you all on the goings on about the state, have a read and keep your tips up,

First Trip to Summit Lake

Tiffany, Kate, and Vicki at the top of Summit ridge. It was cold and windy, but a good time.

Sitting on the Edge of the World

Matt Murphy sits looking over the front (roadside) of Magnum last Tuesday. Matt broke trail faster than I could skin up behind him. I suspect some sort of bionic augmentation to his legs...

Life as a Mountain Host

It's a good life. I have enjoyed almost every flake of the 430 inches of snow that has fallen on Alyeska. I am squeezing out every last turn my quads will give me. This will be my last season as a mountain hoe and I can already feel the nostalgia. At the end of each day on my way to my office door, I ski through the little patches of untracked snow and wave goodbye to my friends and I can't help but smile to myself. What a life!
Pictured is me with one of my co-hoes, Gwen.

Steve goes skiing

Today Steve and I went on what was supposed to be a little ski tour. Steve decided to use touring skis instead of his snow board. It was great entertainment watching this knuckle dragger try to remember how to ski again. The snow here is light and the skies are blue almost everyday. We wish we were in the deep like all of you Girdwood skiers! I bet Moses is really off the team this year.

Deep, Deep Snow!

I have never seen so much snow in my life. If you add up all the snow I have ever seen, it might not add up to this much. My legs ache, but I can't stop.

Laughing Our Way to Tragedy

280 inches in December, and two feet by the 2nd of January... at what point should we begin to fear being swallowed by the snow. Will we be giggiling and smiling as Girdwood is erased from the earth like the lost continent of Atlantis?
