Be sure to check out December, 1970. Maybe some relation to the Girdwood Scene?
*Disclaimer*
I swear this was emailed to my office from one of Ken's Vietnam buddies.

We Miss You Girdwood

Hello Long Lost Girdwoodians, this is to let you know that Angela and I are still alive and camping. Only here, you get to camp in 70F in November, with no mosquitoes, surrounded by vineyards. It's kind of cool. But you also have to pay $15 and listen to someone snoring 3 campspots away. Nothing compares to AK, NOTHING. Anyways- we love and miss you all...

Happy Halloween
Skull-face Spider Man and Pippi celebrated Halloween at the Atwood Concert Hall watching the Anchorage Symphony and raking in loads of candy afterwards in the lobby. Max did his own face paint this year and it was tough to convince him to get in the tub when we got home. Who ever said bribbing kids with candy was wrong?

Don't eat the burger patties!

As more frozen burger patties are recalled, strange things are noticed among children and animals alike. Max-boy grew eyeballs on top of his eyeballs and Max-dog just couldn't figure out whether he was a good dog or a bad dog. Whatever is going on, stay away from the cow meat and stick with tatonka for now.

Thought of the Day
Without a rigorous and consistent evaluation of what kind of a future we wish to create, and a scrupulous examination of the expressions of power we choose to incorporate into all our relationships, including our most private ones, we are not progressing, but merely recasting our own characters in the same old weary drama.-Audre Lourde-

It's the Great Pumpkin Charlie Brown
It's that time of the year again when the air takes on the crisp, musty scent of fall, the leaves begin rotting in the gutters and everyone slyly stops picking up after their dog because they figure it's going to snow soon anyway. The big questions though, are who is throwing the party and what are YOU going to be for Halloween this year? Start planning now, be something great even those of you who think dressing up is lame, (you know who you are). I know someone who might have some excellent tips on how to be a realistic cadaver, complete with the soft whiff of formaldehyde.

Flat Philip
Once upon a time, in a land far, far away there lived a tribe of paper people called the Flat Max's. It all began with some butcher paper, scissors and a 4 year-olds idea of companionship. You see, people need good friends and they need to be loved. We started out with a flat Max which led to a flat Philip which then led to flat Tiffany to keep him company. She got curly hair and a tattoo along the way, but it goes well with Philip's bloodshot eyes. These are the things you do to keep entertained when you're up in the Brooks Range, 250 miles from the nearest television, but with all the Maker's Mark, Gentlemen Jacks and quality friends a person could ever need. Good times...

Don't eat me
a poem by Emily Dickinson- The mushroom is the elf of plants,
- At evening it is not;
- At morning in a truffled hut
- It stops upon a spot
- As if it tarried always;
- And yet its whole career
- Is shorter than a snake's delay,
- And fleeter than a tare.
- 'Tis vegetation's juggler,
- The germ of alibi;
- Doth like a bubble antedate,
- And like a bubble hie.
- I feel as if the grass were pleased
- To have it intermit;
- The surreptitious scion
- Of summer's circumspect.
- Had nature any outcast face,
- Could she a son condemn,
- Had nature an Iscariot,
- That mushroom,--it is him.

What is the inferior attchement of the serratus posterior superior muscle?
I know you have all been dying to know the answer to this question. And guess what? I am going to tell you. It is the superior border of the 2nd to 4th ribs. Yes, I did have to look in my notes to answer that. There is so much to memorize, that nothing seems to be sticking. Needless to say, I am at school studying and needing a little momentary distraction. The blog is probably going to go downhill now that I spend so much time with my computer doing nerdy science stuff. I will be poluting you with uncreative, boring, science facts.
Mark, I know you are thinking of your factoid about the female brain ("That's science"). Just let it go, okay?
