Vicky and I hiked up the Crow Creek Gorge, and strongly encourage those who are able to do the same. We found bizarre geologic patterns mixed with ice, and lots of fun snow. Caves and ice falls ( a thirty footer ) can provide you with exploratory opportunities, or just a place to put your ice tool.
Here is a selection of photos from the hike.

whaaaaa?!?!?! man, amazing, Girdwood has a blog! i just started this blogging thing yesterday.. i knew there would be alaska blogs but G'wood?
it's been fun reading all your past entries, the funny thing is for such a small town, and the fact that i've lived there ten years, i don't recognize a one of you! (and i've certainly never seen an octogong...)
Very strange indeed... but yep, Girdwood has a blog and we've all lived here in Girdwood, Arkansas our whole lives.
